Where to put Your CSS

There is no right or wrong way to edit the content of your profile, but we recommend that you keep all your Myspace CSS code in one window so it’s easier for you to keep the different attributes straight. As you continue on with our tutorials, we will assume that you are keeping all of your CSS in the “About Me” section of your profile – if this is not the case, either move your tags to this section or just keep a mental note of where they are so you can find them and organize them as changes need to be made.

Starting a CSS Section

To get started with your CSS section, use the following tags:

<style>

(CSS codes go here.)

</style>

In plain English, the <style> tag lets the browsers know that you are starting to tell them about how you’d like to style your page; the </style> tag lets the browsers know that you’re finished changing the styles. The CSS codes that you will use to change things on your Myspace page must be sandwiched in between these two tags.
